Sherlyn Chopra is out of Bigg Boss 3

Sherlyn Chopra is out of Bigg Boss 3

Model-Actress Sherlyn Chopra is out of Bigg Boss 3. Sherlyn, who was nominated by the housemates for the fourth consecutive week, was finally voted out by the public. Sherlyn Chopra and Vindu Dara Singh were nominated by the housemates for eviction this week. Vindu survived the axe, as he is considered to be one of the top contenders to win Bigg Boss 3 reality show.

When Amitabh Bachchan allowed Sherlyn to ask each housemates why they nominated her again and again, they hardly had an answer. Majority of them said that they nominated Sherlyn, as she was a soft target after a series of nominations. They all admitted that Sherlyn had improved a lot and there was nothing wrong with her attitude.

During the eviction, Bigg Boss gave a power to Sherlyn. She was asked to choose a person, who will do the cleaning of the house for a week. Sheryn could not decide anything and asked the housemates who wanted to do it.

Even though Raju was willing to do it, Sherlyn chose Vindu Dara Singh, saying he is a strong man and can do the task in a better way. Vindu was really upset that Sherlyn took his name despite his reluctance. He even abused her and asked her to get out of his sight immediately.

With Sherlyn Chopra out of the show, Vindu will become the next target of the Bigg Boss housemates. Rohit Verma may also get nominated this week, as most people came to know about real character. The show is expected to become more interesting in the coming days.

Ambika Soni justifies notice to Colors for 'Bigg Boss 3'

Ambika Soni justifies notice to Colors for 'Bigg Boss 3'

Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Minister Ambika Soni has defended the issuance of the notice to Colors for Bigg Boss 3 on grounds that the programme had been seen by an Inter-Ministerial Committee that also comprises members of the Women and Child Development and other ministries.

When asked about what action would be taken against the channel, the minister said that it was too early to say that as the notice was sent earlier this week and the channel had not replied so far to the show-cause notice.

Answering questions on the sidelines of a function to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Directorate of Field Publicity, Soni countered a question about Colors being a family channel saying that the Cable Television Networks
(Regulation) Act 1995 and the Programme Code under which the notice was issued was applicable to all channels.

The notice by the I & B Ministry had asked the channel to explain within five days why the show Big Boss 3 should not be taken off air for vulgarity. The third season of the reality show that is hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, received the notice under Section 6 and other sections of the 1995 Act for 'offending good taste' and also for the use of vulgar language.

Bigg Boss 3 - fight over racism

Bigg Boss 3 - fight over racism

The day starts with the usual Vindu bitching about everybody to the cameras in the garden. He is very concerned about who will leave the house on Friday. He keeps on asking Sheryl about this and wants to know her gut feeling.

There was a big hue and cry when somebody was seen eating chocolates that were meant for the baskets to be made for the orphans. Bigg Boss had forbidden people from eating or storing chocolates. Tanaaz says that Claudia ate the chocolates yesterday and that today also she was chewing something while performing the weekly tasks. It becomes a big issue for Rohit who even goes and kisses Claudia to find out.

This becomes a big issue for Rohit who goes into the rest room to fight it with Claudia. The matter becomes a issue for Hindi-English translation for both of them and Rohit says that he likes Claudia as lots of his friends are White. To this Claudia replies that she is not racist.

Rohit goes out in the dining room and says that Claudia called him a racist. This triggers off the others and they also bitch about her. Later Bigg Boss calls Rohit and replays the sequence of events and who said and what and to whom. Rohit has no words and just fumbles that he didn’t understand the meaning of the words and all.

He issues a public apology in the dining room with Tanaaz as the translator in English for Claudia. In the end of the episode the weekly task is completed and the budget is decided and the luxury items are negotiated over and submitted to Bigg Boss.

Tanaaz unhappy with Claudia

Tanaaz unhappy with Claudia

It is the morning after the nomination but it seems like any other morning in the Bigg Boss house...

The housemates are busy with their daily chores. The women are busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen while the others are working out. Suddenly the task alarm goes on and everyone rushes to get ready for the task. The housemates are quite enthusiastic about the task and enjoy it completely. Raju as usual with his witty remarks makes the atmosphere fun filled.

Post the task, Tanaaz bitches about Claudia to Bhakhtyar and expresses her reasons for disliking Claudia to him. Meanwhile, Raju is enjoying pulling Rohit’s leg especially given that Rohit cannot speak due to Bigg Boss’s instructions and punishment. Raju irritates Rohit with his jokes and probes him into talking but Rohit doesn’t budge.

Claudia joins Ismail and Vindu in the garden and three of them discuss groupism in the house. In the evening, housemates sit in the living area chit chatting, when Raju decides to entertain everyone. He decides to mimic every housemate as Gabbar ... roars of laughter pour in with this act.

Towards the end, everyone including Rohit pleads to Bigg Boss to end this punishment and let Rohit speak. Finally, after a day of not speaking a word, Bigg Boss announces the end of the punishment ... Rohit is elated and screams out ‘Hare Krishna’!

Soon, Bigg Boss summons Tanaaz, Bhakhtyar, Rohit and Sherlyn in the confession room and reminds them that the chocolates stolen by them are for the orphan kids ... feeling guilty the four empty their pockets and leave all the chocolates in the confession room ...

Why is Tanaaz unhappy with Claudia? Will the housemates complete the task successfully?

Claudia gets too close with Bhaktiyar in Bigg Boss

Claudia gets too close with Bhaktiyar in Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss 3 is trying to catch in with more eyeballs by showing the closeness of Bhaktiyar Irani and Claudia Ciesla. Where as Tanaaz’s reaction towards their proximity is neglected in the scenes. “Bhaktiyar is trying to get more close to Claudia after the ouster of Kamal R Khan. The channel too was focusing on that just to get the more eyeballs on weekends,” chirps the little birdie.

Elaborating on the stint, “Bhaktiyar’s wife Tanaaz being in the house is not making any difference for the actor. Over the top, whether she is objecting or not is not been shown.”

We all have seen how the actor was trying to impress the German model and trying to get close in the kitchen and near the pool. Is this for real or just another game for the ratings? Now we need to wait and watch of how far these people can go on the name of reality…

Bigg Boss 3 contestant fakes identity

Bigg Boss 3 contestant fakes identity

The ongoing reality show on Colors entertainment channel, Bigg Boss season 3 contestant Rohit Varma makes tall claims that he is a renowned fashion designer but the truth is something else.

The hotshots of fashion industry have revealed his real identity. Delhi's fashion circuit avers that Varma is actually a fashion choreographer and not a designer!

Sunil Sethi, president FDCI says, "I personally don't know Rohit Varma but I have met him at Dubai Fashion Week and I saw his role more as a fashion choreographer than a fashion designer and definitely he is not in the Delhi fashion circuit."

Designers too have turned their backs on Varma. Charu Parashar, for instance said, "He claims to be a designer, but isn't one for sure."

Do you have anything in your defense, Rohit? Well you'll only react once you exit Bigg Boss' house. We are waiting with bated breath.

Vindu takes Kamal’s place

Vindu takes Kamal’s place

Just when things start looking bleak for Sherlyn in the Bigg Boss House, somehow she ends up being saved by some miracle. Sherlyn has always found herself being nominated for eviction by all the other housemates.

So this week is no different. Sherlyn is yet again nominated for not interacting much with the housemates and sticking to doing her promised ‘sexy bai’ act and focusing on menial jobs.

Now that the other favourite nominee, Kamal is already out, the next is Vindu, the happy go lucky, loud man who is a friend to all and foe to none. He finds himself in the bottom rung thanks to his two - faced nature. He is accused of siding with Kamal while he was in the house and promptly turning against him the moment he was out. His ‘dal badlu’ nature brought upon this nomination.

Although his name is not in the eviction for this week, the person with the maximum number of votes is Ismail Darbar. He only missed by a vote to be in the bottom rung along with Vindu & Sherlyn. While the nominations make up for some amount of gossip and speculation, the other thing that causes much laughter is the punishment handed out to Shamita by Bigg Boss. It is mandatory for everyone in the house to speak in Hindi. However, Shamita who was punished for speaking in English even earlier is caught once again by Bigg Boss and is given a strict punishment. Bigg boss announces that Rohit will not speak to any housemate and that he will have to explain Shamita in sigh language what he wants to communicate; while it will be Shamita’s job to interpret it in Hindi to the housemates.

However, if Shamita fails again, she faces a term in the jail!

While all fun and games are on, Bigg Boss also announces the task for the week which is called ‘Happy to help’ and it entails making gift boxes for orphaned children. The task basically requires five people per team and they are each given a pink jumpsuit, a bowtie, gloves and eye glasses. A converyer belt is set up in the Bigg Boss House to provide them with the material for the gift boxes. Everytime music starts playing, the housemates have to drop everything, don their ‘Happy to help’ suits and get into the assembly line to pack the chocolates and goodies coming through the conveyer belt.

The trick is to make as many hampers as possible and each hamper made will earn them ten points which will help them in their weekly budget.

With so much happening in the Bigg Boss House, we wonder what the week will look like. It is only a matter of time when we will get to witness housemates crumbling under the pressure of being civil with each other while at the same time trying to oust each other. Will Vindu’s nomination turn him into another Kamal? Or will Sherlyn take leave of her cool composture that she has been holding on to? And what about Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar? Roraring passions turned into blazing barbs betweent his couple. Will thier marriage be able to survive this test by fire? Knowing how things turned out to be last week, all we can say is, when in Bigg Boss’s House, expect the unexpected!

Raju Srivastava to leave 'Bigg Boss 3'

Raju Srivastava to leave 'Bigg Boss 3'

Reality show ‘Bigg Boss 3’ is embroiled in controversy once again. After Kamaal R Khan’s unexpected exit, Raju Srivastava, the TRP driver of the
‘Bigg Boss’ house may have to leave the show midway.

Production house Sri Adhkari Brothers has sent the comedian a legal notice saying he has to be present for the shooting of a show for their channel ‘Masti’.

Adhikari producer Markand Adhikari said, “Raju is under contract with us from November 1. So he has to quit ‘Bigg Boss 3’. Besides has not taken permission from us.”

On Monday, the show was caught in the I&B ministry’s crosshairs. The ministry issued a showcause notice to Colors entertainment channel objecting to certain visuals broadcast by it. The channel has been asked to reply in five days. This is the fourth showcause notice issued to the channel for its various programmes.

In its notice, the ministry said the show had broadcast content offending good taste and decency that was unsuitable for unrestricted public exhibition. Colors has been asked not to carry any content that constituted a violation of the programme code that is part of the Cable TV Networks (Regulation) Act 1995.

"It has also been observed that the language used by some participants is vulgar and abusive and the show contains visuals which appear to be obscene and violative of the programme code. Recently, in one of the visuals, a participant has been shown pulling down the shorts of another participant," the notice said, adding this had offended the sensibilities of many viewers.

Since the programme was being telecast on prime time and was watched by families including children, it could also have a negative impact on young impressionable minds and did not appear to be suitable for unrestricted public exhibition, the notice said.

Ban Bigg Boss 3? No, say former housemates

Ban Bigg Boss 3? No, say former housemates

Bigg Boss 3 has come under the scanner of the Information and Broadcasting ministry, as they have sent a show cause notice to the producers, against the content being shown. The show has been asked to explain why it should not be taken off air for 'offending good taste.'

But the housemates of the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss have their own opinions regarding the show.

Some of them tell us what they think of Bigg Boss 3, and of course, who the most annoying housemate is.

Bigg Boss 3 is: Entertaining but a little slow. They need to increase the pace but I'm sure it will be better and faster in the coming weeks. With my personal experience I would say that the show makes the contestants popular, not vice versa.

Should Bigg Boss be banned? Why would they (I&B ministry) want to ban Bigg Boss 3? All the vulgarity, nudity, obscenity and abusive language was there in Bigg Boss 2. If they had any problem with Bigg Boss, they should have banned the second season.

Most controversial person in Bigg Boss is: No one. If Sherlyn Chopra doesn't get evicted this week, she might get into some kind of controversy.

The most entertaining people are Raju Srivastav and Vindoo Singh. I know Vindoo personally -- he is totally different in the show. I can't believe that's him! He made fun of me when I came out of the Bigg Boss house last year. He asked me how I could be so loud on the show.

I found him funny in the bathroom when he was singing. I think people change once they are locked inside the house. I am waiting for him to come out. Now it's my turn to make fun of him! I want Vindoo or Raju to win.

Bigg Boss 3 : Amitabh Bachchan is in trouble

Bigg Boss 3 : Amitabh Bachchan is in trouble

Reality show Bigg Boss-Season 3, anchored by Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, is in trouble.

The Information & Broadcasting Ministry on Monday asked Colors entertainment channel to explain why it did not censor a scene where two participants — Aditi Gowitrikar and Tanaz Irani — pulled down the shorts of Raju Srivastava, another participant, and also provided the footage to news channels.

The ministry has asked the channel to reply by Friday or else face action, which includes suspension of the transmission or a ban for a certain period.

After the ministry’s intervention, news channels stopped showing the clip, which was repeatedly played on Sunday.

“The clip had evoked a strong reaction,” said a senior I&B ministry official requesting anonymity. “Social groups and political leaders have objected to this semi-nudity on TV.”

The ministry has the power to suspend transmission or ban a channel found violating the programme code, which lists dos and don’ts for the television industry. Colors has already been issued three notices and two advisories for violation of the code since it got approval on June 12, 2008.

“We are yet to receive the notice. We have taken all measures to ensure our programme Bigg Boss-Season 3 is in compliance with the program code and we meticulously beep out any abusive language used by participants keeping in mind the sensitivity of the audience,” a Colors spokesperson said.

'Bigg Boss 3' gets government notice for vulgarity

'Bigg Boss 3' gets government notice for vulgarity

The third season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss 3', hosted by iconic film star Amitabh Bachchan, has landed in trouble with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Monday sending a notice to Colors channel for 'offending good taste' and for the use of vulgar language.

The channel has been asked to show cause for its actions within five days, failing which it will be taken off the air.

'It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that certain parts of the reality show 'Bigg Boss 3' telecast and re-telecast on Colors channel offend against good taste and decency and are not suitable for unrestricted public exhibition,' says the show-cause notice.

The notice says the language used by some participants is abusive and the show contains visuals which appear to be obscene and violative of the government's programme code.

It also points out that recently in one of the visuals, one participant has been shown pulling down the shorts of another participant. 'This has offended the sensibilities of many viewers,' says the notice.

The ministry has asked Colors not to carry content on the show that 'constitutes a violation of the programme code as enshrined in the Cable TV Networks (Regulation) Act 1995,' failing which it will be taken off the air.

Recently, one of the participants in the show, actor-director Kamal R. Khan, was thrown out for violent behaviour.

The reality show is based on the international show 'Big Brother' in which 13 celebrities are locked in a house for 84 days and monitored round-the-clock by 40 cameras.

Despite being thrown out of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ Bhojpuri actor-director Kamaal R Khan feels proud of his activity in the show.

It is to be mentioned here that the only reason of his unexpected elimination is his violent behavior in the show.

Bhojpuri actor, also known as KRK said that he is least concerned about his elimination and is happy with all the things happened. He also said that if he was not eliminated he would not have mined to escape from the house even.

He is not ashamed at all of his violent behavior during the show, rather ‘Bigg Boss’ will always remember him for being the first-ever such participant of the show, he added.

Megalomaniacs Abound In Bigg Boss Season 3

Megalomaniacs Abound In Bigg Boss Season 3

Bigg Boss Season 3 on Colors has turned out to be as neurotic as the previous seasons. There are petty food fights, jealousies, personality clashes and hair fall due to dandruff.

Should we even be discussing these megalomaniac celebrities? Some think its a waste of time but these high and mighty personalities fall like pixie dust when it comes to living the mundane lives and scuttle like rats in the Bigg Boss cage. If that isn't interesting, what is?

Two people have been evicted till now - Rakhi Sawant's estranged mother- Jaya Sawant and Kamal Khan, the actor from Deshdrohi.

According to Kamal Khan he went loco at Bigg Boss's house to save the item girl Sherlyn Chopra's scrawny ass. A little tarnish on the knight's shining armour is no biggie in Bigg Bose's house. Kamal knew he was hated by the inmates and didn't seem too eager to hang around and deal with the rat infestation. Sherlyn, however, wanted to be part of the pack so Mr Khan used it to his advantage- leave like a nice bloke and white wash all his past obnoxious behavior at the Bigg Boss's house.

But then again, all the shit he did could be make believe for the hits, right?

However, some things are real like Rohit Verma's incessant need to give in to tears. When Bakhtiyar and Kamal Khan were sent to jail he howled and then a couple of nights later he sniffled when at the Bigg Boss home the inhabitants joked about him cooking and he ran out of the room brawling his eyes out. And no, gays do not behave in this pansy wansy way. He does not represent the gay community. He represents his own cry baby self!

Then there is Bakhtiyar and his sunny irritating wife - Tanaaz Irani who have their Bold and Beautiful love fights happening on Prime Time television just about every second day. Tanaaz, with her bubbling personality is quite a handful. There is only so much sunshine one can take - intense sunny positivity leads to corrosive wilting, sunstroke and death. Beneath all that happy personality is a vicious streak manifested by a cruel tongue. It didn't take her long to bitch about Sherlyn and her hair loss and for Mr Verma (who btw is losing hair as well) nodded and blame it on dandruff.

Which also explains the love for wigs by Rohit and scrawny Sherlyn.

Sherlyn Chopra seems to be the only one to feel the desperate need to stay at Bigg Boss's house. She bears the air of a hobo in Bollywood and her entrance into Bigg Boss' home a charity dinner instead of being turned to the soup kitchen. She made a pale reflection of an item girl to Rakhi Sawant. Her days are numbered since the greasy smell of desperation makes her unlikable by the mediocre female bitchie celebrities.

Poonam Dhillion seems to be the only classy 'show piece' amongst the women. Nice people cannot last on Bigg Boss and there are nice people in that corny little rat cage.

There is the comedian Raju Srivastav a good natured soul from Kanpur caught in the melee of personality clashes. He tries to remain out of the war zone and despite his comedy routines and spreading of laughter blends into the background like a pleasant wall flower.

Another talkative soul on the show grunting away is Vindu Dara Singh. If there is anyone who needs a zaaban pe lagam (reign in his tongue) is Mr Singh. His incessant inane conversation could drive any intelligent individual up the wall. But its his gossipy nature which keeps him aboard in that neurotic house.

The one with the most vicious tongue on the show who makes Kamal Khan look like a little runt is Ismail Darbar. Not only does he have ego hassels with most of the inmates but his arrogance on the show makes him a difficult fellow to like.

Then there are the three pretty wall flowers of Bigg Boss. Nice enough women with no outstanding obnoxious trait to help them stand out.

There is Claudia Ciesla - the blond bimbo, Shamita Shetty - Shilpa Shetty's younger sister and Aditi Govitrikar- the doctor turned model. These three babes despite their hot bodies lack the oomph of Rakhi Sawant and are probably too well behaved to leave a lasting mark in the tinsel town.

Bigg Boss is akin to desi Jerry Springer. There is a layer of unreal greasiness to the show that oils our voyeuristic judgemental streak.

Though the show is well into its third season it remains very popular and Amitabh Baachan's presence on the show has the calming influence of Ashok Kumar on Hum Log.

Rajesh Khanna in tiff with son-in-law Akshay Kumar

Veteran actor and superstar Rajesh Khanna who ruled the heart of millions during his filmy days very often comes into news for various reasons. If he has hit the headlines for doing sensational scene with Pakistani actress Saraa then he has also created waves by accepting Bigg Boss against his son-in-law Akshay’s choice. Now the actor is again filling the gossip column for his differences with son-in-law Akshay Kumar. Akki eyes Khanna’s multi crore bungalow Aashirwad on Carter Road, Mumbai. He desires to purchase it but Khanna straightway rejected him.

When I met him for breakfast, he was dreading the moment when Dimple would find these things missing on him.”

Sherlyn Chopra sheds clothes for TRP’s on Bigg Boss 3

Sherlyn Chopra sheds clothes for TRP’s on Bigg Boss 3

One of the inmates of Bigg Boss season 3, Sherlyn Chopra, the girl who is always irritated and once cried when asked about her family, performed a very seductive act in one of the episodes which raised many eyebrows. What will be the reason for her behavior that too on the national channel?

The actress in the episode, where the contestants has to execute their talent in front of all the BB3 house inmates, has crossed the limitation of dignity by peeling off her clothes one by one in a very seductive manner. Now the question arises that to what extent is this permissible by the audience. Another query which goes around in the mind is, to what level the deed of Sherlyn was related to “talent’?

And last but not the least, why Sherlyn chosen this kind of act to perform in the house of BB3? The reasons may be that the Angel (pet name of Sherlyn) is hunting for TRP’s or may be she wants more publicity like her fellow actress (Rakhi Sawant). It could be the decision of channel too for raising its bar in the race to win?

The correct answer can be only given by Sherlyn as you never know with these celebs, they can reach to any extent to get what they wanted. All we can say here is TRP’s ke liye aur kya kya karega…

Bigg Boss 3 contestant castigated

Bigg Boss 3 contestant castigated

After the Deshdrohi actor was shown the exit door for misbehaving with fellow contestants KRKand using abusive language, he has indeed become the hot topic of discussion among the small screen audience.

During his stint on Bigg Boss, the actor was furious at designer Rohit Verma and threw a water bottle at him which accidentally hit actress Shamita Shetty. KRK was also seen getting into a tiff with television actor Bakhtiyaar Irani and nearly fought with comic actor Raju Shrivastav. The annoyed contestants had no choice but to request that KRK be moved out of the show.

The popular reality show literally turned into a battle field. The host of the show, Amitabh Bachchan was quoted as telling a web site, "I shall persist with TV and Bigg Boss 3, which I believe has now reached a stage of uncontrolled tempers!"

It's no surprise that KRK is now being compared to Raja Choudhary on Big Boss 2. More famously known as television actress Shweta Tiwari's husband Raja Chaudhary is furious for being compared to the Deshdrohi actor. "Who says he is another Raja Chaudhary on the show? He is a psycho case and not at all like me," Chaudhary was quoted as telling the web site. "People who are cRajaomparing Kamal Rashid Khan with me have either not observed me well or they don't really know me." he added.

While the show has served as a platform for some not-so-famous actors to boost their popularity, it is also creating buzz in telly land for it's infamous inmates.

"I think everyone will be happy now that Kamal Khan is ousted from Bigg Boss. I guess it should have been done much earlier. I am happy that he is out but I am also feeling bad because I feel he should be beaten up before being thrown out," says Bigg Boss 2 contestant Sambhavna Seth.

Stand-up comedian and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Ahsaan Qureshi however has a different opinion. "I don't really know whether KRK would actually be thrown out. Bigg Boss allows such characters to remain in the house for controversies and greater TRPs. These are all publicity gimmicks. What's the fun in Bigg Boss house if there is no tamasha?" he was quoted as telling the media.

"Bigg Boss, it is not a normal house where things are under one's control. When Kamal Khan will step out and his mind will be back to normal, probably then he will know what all he did on the show," says television actress and Bigg Boss-2 contestant Ketki Dave.

Rajesh Khanna to enter 'Bigg Boss 3'

Rajesh Khanna to enter 'Bigg Boss 3'

Rajesh Khanna will be the latest celebrity to take part in Bigg Boss 3 despite a number of issues.

The Times of India reports that the veteran actor will be introduced into the show within the next two weeks after Kamaal R Khan was evicted on Wednesday.

However, there were delays getting Khanna to agree to entering the house after producers told him that he would not be allowed to drink alcohol on TV.

"The main problem with Mr Khanna was he wanted permission to be allowed to drink within the house. We couldn't allow him that," a Bigg Boss source said.

"We've opened up negotiations with Mr Khanna and he has agreed to be on the show. We will be introducing him in the show as a wildcard entry in the next two weeks."

It has been suggested that Khanna will be paid the highest amount ever given to a celebrity contestant on Bigg Boss.

Kaamal Khan says, Bigg Boss has sick people

Kaamal Khan says, Bigg Boss has sick people

Not concerned about his unexpected elimination from the "Bigg Boss" house, Bhojpuri actor-producer Kamaal R. Khan says that despite being stuck with 10 sick people he had a good time on the reality show.

Kamaal, who was nominated for eviction, was asked to leave a day before the results of public voting were announced because of his intolerable, abusive and uncouth behaviour since the beginning of the show. But he is unperturbed.

"It was a very good experience. Even though I had to eat food like it was made in jail, had no contact with anyone outside and had to stay with 10 'beemaar' (sick) people, I had a good time," Kamaal told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

Asked why he refers to his co-participants as 'beemaar', Kamaal said: "Except for me, Ismail (Darbar) and Vindu (Dara Singh), everyone had a health problem. Someone couldn't eat sugar or had to compromise on the salt - but three of us always ate everything."

Kamaal was the most controversial inmate in the "Bigg Boss" house. He says whatever fights or arguments he had with his co-participants -- Bakhtiyaar Irani, Tanaaz Currim and Poonam Dhillon -- happened because their thinking and ideas clashed.

Kamaal says he had never expected to be thrown out of the show. He is, however, glad he could keep his promise with co-participant, item girl Sherlyn Chopra.

"I had promised Sherlyn that I will quit if she has to leave the house before I am evicted out of the show. So god ne meri izzat rakh li (god saved my pride). I am happy for her that she is inside the 'Bigg Boss' house," he said.

He is also hoping to team up with German supermodel Claudia Ciesla, his inmate on "Bigg Boss".

"I want to work with Claudia hundred percent! If she wants to work with me in future, I would love to have her in my film. She is a good actress and even a very nice human being, I feel," said Kamaal.

"We spoke to each other about film projects and she said she wants to do some work in the Indian film industry. But we will talk about it after she is out of 'Bigg Boss'," he added.

Kamaal, who had earlier worked with Italian actress Rosa Catalano in his controversial film "Desh Drohi", tried to pursue Claudia into a good friendship in the initial episodes of the show but gave up when she did not reciprocate. He is all set to begin shooting for "Desh Drohi 2" as he plans to release it in April 2010.

"Bigg Boss" is currently in its third season. It started with 13 celebrities locked up inside a secluded house for 84 days and are kept under constant camera surveillance without any contact with the outside world. The show airs on Colors.

So far two elimination have taken place and now there are 11 people in the hous

On Bigg Boss 3 everything looks staged

On Bigg Boss 3 everything looks staged

For anyone who thinks reality shows are spontaneous and unscripted, take a reality check by watching Bigg Boss.

Right from Kamaal R Khan’s angry outbursts and fights with the inmates, to Bakhtyaar and wife Tanaaz Irani’s little tiffs on the show, everything looks staged. And don’t even get us started on the way Bakhtyaar talks loudly to himself! What’s that all about? It’s not just the inmates who need a break from each other’s antics, we think even the audiences deserve a big break... from all this plotting and planning!

I planned my Expulsion from Bigg Boss House to save Sherlyn, says Kamal Khan

I planned my Expulsion from Bigg Boss House to save Sherlyn, says Kamal Khan

In a sensational revelation during his first interview after the exit from Bigg Boss 3, controversial Actor-Writer-Producer Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) said that he planned his expulsion from the house to save Sherlyn Chopra, who was nominated by the inmates for the third consecutive time.

"I owed my word to Sherlyn. I had promised her that I won't become a reason for her eviction from Bigg Boss 3. I would never let her go out of the house, when I was there. And, I got the right chance to do that", said Kamal Khan while talking to Amitabh Bachchan today. "I was planning how to make an exit from the Bigg Boss house to save Sherlyn. Thank God, he showed the way. It happened all of a sudden, but was for the good", he added.

Kamal Khan also said he tried to be bad before others, as he wanted to save Sherlyn Chopra from becoming a target in the house. "She was unfairly targeted", said Kamal. Kamal also clarified that the BiggBoss inmates were just puppets in his hands. "They always did exactly what I wanted", he said.

Kamal termed Ismail Darbar, Vindoo Dara Singh, Raju Srivastav and Sherlyn Chopra as his friends. But he was disappointed that Vindoo and Sherlyn voted against him during last week's nomination process.

Kamal Khan said that he always respected truth and dignity and never took anything from anyone even during the struggle period. "I am honest and truthful to myself and my god and whatever I did, I have no regret for this", he said. However, he wanted to apologise to everyone, includingAmitabh Bachchan and Bigg Boss inmates, if he had hurt them.

Bigg Boss’ consistency helps Colors hold on to top spot

Bigg Boss 3's consistency helps Colors hold on to top spot

Four weeks in a row, Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd’s Colors has held on to the top spot among Hindi general entertainment television channels, ending the week to 17 October with 314 gross rating points (GRPs), 73 ahead of its closest rival Star Plus.

Star attraction: Bigg Boss 3, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has maintained an average 3.2% TRP since its launch. Puneet Chandhok / HT

Star attraction: Bigg Boss 3, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has maintained an average 3.2% TRP since its launch. Puneet Chandhok / HT
Star India Pvt. Ltd’s flagship Hindi channel is at 241 GRPs, according to TAM Media Research Pvt. Ltd, a television audience measurement agency.

GRPs are a sum total of television rating points, or TRPs, over a period of time. TRPs refer to the percentage of viewers watching a particular programme at a given point in time.

The 10-year run by Star Plus at the number one slot was broken by Colors in April. Since then the ratings have swung with no consistent or clear winner.

Colors claims it is the success of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 3’, which has maintained an average 3.2% TRP ever since its launch on 3 October, that has helped the channel gain an edge over its competition.

There is a buzz around big-ticket shows such as ‘Bigg Boss’ that draw new viewers to the channel who come to sample the programme, but end up watching others as well, said Rajesh Kamat, chief executive officer, Colors.

This effect has rubbed off on several of Colors’ shows such as ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’ and ‘Uttaran’ that had in TRPs of 7% and 6.6%, respectively, for the channel in the week ended 17 October.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd’s Zee TV and Multiscreen Media Pvt Ltd’s Sony came in third and fourth with 232 and 165 GRPs, respectively.

The TAM data represents the Hindi-speaking markets in cable and satellite television households among viewers aged four and above, covering virtually the entire universe of TV viewers.

KRK knocked off of Bigg Boss house for abusive behaviour

Kamal Rashid Khan knocked off of Bigg Boss house for abusive behaviour

Kamal Rashid Khan aka KRK, who has been courting controversy ever since he entered the Bigg Boss house earlier this month, has been kicked out of the show. KRK

Reason: the Deshdrohi actor lost his temper and hurled a water bottle at designer Rohit Verma, which accidentally ended up hitting actress Shamita Shetty. The actor also had a major tiff with television actor Bakhtiyaar Irani, and almost came to blows with comic Raju Shrivastav.

The housemates, unable to cope with KRK anymore, requested to Bigg Boss that he leave the show. Consequently the actor was asked to pack his bags and vacate the house.

Ashvini Yardi, head of programming, from the channel confirms, “His behaviour was not at all acceptable. We do not advocate the use of violence as a means to settle differences. What Kamal did was completely out of line, and against the rules of the Bigg Boss house, and hence he was asked to leave the house.”

Kamal Khan faces boycott inside Bigg Boss house

Kamal Khan faces boycott inside Bigg Boss house

Bigg Boss 3 contestant Kamal Rashid Khan is facing a boycott from other participants of the reality TV show over his behaviour.

Inmates of the Bigg Boss house are upset with Khan over his "rude" behaviour and want him out of the house.

The contestants have threatened to stage a walkout if Khan, a Bhojpuri actor, continues to be on the show. A final decision on Khan is yet to be taken.

Khan made news soon after the show began with his spats. One of his initial fights was with co-contestants Poonam Dhillon and Tanaaz Currim.

Talent show on Bigg Boss 3

Talent show on Bigg Boss 3

It is task time again at the Bigg Boss house.... Talent Bonanza – Kala Ka Pradarshan is the new task wherein everyone will be performing what they are best at. Each housemate will showcase one talent and the others will rate them. There will be four performances in a day.

As we know, every task in the Bigg Boss House has rules. For this one – no props will be provided for the performances and it is upon the housemates how they decide to be innovative and entertaining.

But the guys are always up for challenges. It is Ismail, Kamal, Aditi and Raju who will be the first ones to perform. There will be a board outside the activity area and the performers of the day will be responsible to put up the schedule in their innovative style. Moreover, housemates invite the others to watch their performance in their own style.

While the performers practice their acts, the girls are bitching and this time it's Poonam they are talking about.

Bakhtiyaar is seen flirting with Claudia. Looks like too much bitching is keeping Tanaaz busy!

Who will be the best out of the four today? What will happen between Bakhtiyaar and Claudia? Will cupid strike?

New thrills and twists on Bigg Boss 3

New thrills and twists on Bigg Boss 3

Bigg Boss introduces a new task and while contestants gear up for it, there’s more and more curiosity regarding the strength of Bakhtiyar’s commitment…

Bigg Boss is making sure that all the contestants strive hard to retain their occupancy at the house in Colors' Big Boss 3. While this is the major attraction some might find it interesting that Tanaaz is not the center of attraction for Bakhtiar anymore…

Our source gives interesting inputs on the next task set up by Bigg Boss in tonight's episode. Says our source, "Talent Bonanza – Kala Ka Pradarshan, is the new task given wherein everyone will be performing on what they are best at. Each housemate will showcase one talent and the others will rate them on their performance. There will be altogether 4 performances in a day. Ismail, Kamal, Aditi and Raju will be the first four to perform."

Adds the source, "But like every other task of Bigg Boss this one too is full of challenges. Contestants are not allowed to use any props. They have to rely purely on their creativity to come up with some entertaining stuff so that they earn good points from the rest of the inmates. In addition, the four performers are required to prepare a board which will contain the schedule of the day. This too has to be innovative. They also have to invite others in their own unique style."

The source further adds, "Apparently those who are not involved in preparing themselves for the performance are keeping themselves busy with gossip. Especially the girls have taken a liking to backbite about Poonam Dhillon. And while Tanaaz is actively participating in the gossip gala, husband Bakhtiyar is finding ample time to flirt with the German chic Claudia."

Will this develop cracks in the Bakhtiyar-Tanaaz marriage? And who will be the best performer amongst Ismail, Kamal, Aditi and Raju? The questions will be answered tonight on Colors' Big gBoss at 9 tonight.

Bakhtiyaar Irani is in tears!

Bakhtiyaar Irani is in tears!

It's a nomination task morning in the Bigg Boss house. Ismail, Vindu and Kamal who were pro Sherlyn turn against her....

In the afternoon, Shamita and Tanaaz are discussing their struggling days in the film industry....

Bigg Boss calls Kamal in the confession room, to assign the weekly task.

Towards the evening, Raju and Vindu are singing Jack 'n' Jill in Bhojpuri style!

In the night, Bakhtiyaar is crying, as he is missing his son.

With this, another day comes to an end in the Bigg Boss house.

Kamal Ka Kamaal!

Kamal Ka Kamaal!

If you have been watching Bigg Boss regularly, you would have by now known that Kamal Rashid Khan is quiet unpopular amongst all the housemates.

His mannerism and attitude in particular are the real cause of worry for the housemates. He likes blabbing about his lavish lifestyle. He refuses to help in completing the daily chores. Gets in to brawls and arguments with the women in the house and lastly doesn’t leave a single opportunity to woo Claudia—He even managed to grab considerable amount of attention from the housemate, by going on so called “Hunger Strike’ to prove his love for the lady.

Given this, Kamal has definitely lost his female fans- (pun intended) in the house at least. Is this the tactic to hog the limelight and attract viewers’ attention so that he isn’t booted out?

Diwali Celebration on Bigg Boss 3

Diwali Celebration on Bigg Boss 3

There is festivity in the air. The housemates woke up with that special feeling.

It's the morning of Diwali, a festival that is special for everyone.... Bigg Boss decides to celebrate the festival of lights by surprising the housemates by decorating the garden. The housemates are excited and thank Bigg Boss.

There is a lot of hustle-bustle in the house as everyone gets into celebration mode and dress for the occasion. All are looking stupendous especially Claudia dazzling in her designer sari.

Bigg Boss gives the housemates a Diwali task, in which they have to decorate the House with Rangoli and Diyas.

Futher in the evening they perform puja.

The Housemates get together and celebrate Diwali by burning fire sprinklers in the garden.

But no day in the Bigg Boss house is complete without bitching. The guys are bitching about Kamal's behaviour. Rohit too has an outburst.

Kamal Khan and Sherlyn Chopra nominated again on Bigg Boss 3

Kamal Khan and Sherlyn Chopra nominated again on Bigg Boss 3

In a shocking development, which repeated the same drama in Bigg Boss House, the Bigg Boss inmates nominated Kamal Rashid Khan and Sherlyn Chopra yet again! During the nomination process on Sunday, 9 housemates voted against Kamal Khan, while Sherlyn received 6 nominations. Vindoo Dara Singh too received 5 negative votes, but he survived the nomination.

Ironically, during the first and second weeks of nomination process, both Kamal Khan and Sherlyn Chopra were nominated by the housemates. While Jaya Sawant was evicted during the first week, Bigg Boss cancelled the eviction process during the second week, thanks to Diwali festival.

Kamal Khan is the most hatred figure inside Bigg Boss house and his nomination is completely understandable. However, Sherlyn's nomination came as a shock and surprise for the viewers, as she tried her best to change her attitude in the recent weeks and even participated in household and other stuffs.

It would be interesting to see who will be voted out of the Bigg Boss house on Friday. In all probability, Sherlyn will be out of Bigg Boss 3, as people want Kamal Khan in the house for long so that they can enjoy the drama and fight on Bigg Boss 3. Most people believe that Bigg Boss 3 will be toothless without Kamal Rashid Khan or "KRK".

Kamal Khan has already declared a war on the inmates after his nomination for the third consecutive week. He is now determined to show the people to what extent he can go. The Bigg Boss 3 has become more interesting and fun now!

Raju Srivastava in trouble by particiapting in Bigg Boss 3

Raju Srivastava in trouble by particiapting in Bigg Boss 3

‘Mazaak mazaak main hum Bigg Boss ke ghar main aa gaye,” said Raju Srivastava before entering the Bigg Boss house.

Markand Adhikari of Shri Adhikari Brothers (SAB) isn't amused a wee bit with this. The SAB TV co-owner has alleged that Srivastava has breached his contract by participating in Bigg Boss 3.

"Raju had signed a three-year contract for being the brand ambassador of our upcoming channel MASTiii. He's breached our contract by participating in Bigg Boss. The contract comes into effect from November 2009 and as per the agreement Raju is required to give us 10 full days every month. There is a no-exit clause for both parties. He's breached our contract by taking part in Bigg Boss. We have sent a notice to both Colors and Endemol but it's been a week and they haven't replied yet," said Adhikari.

So are you demanding Srivastava's ouster from the show?

"At the moment, I'm just waiting for their reply. Raju had a confidentiality clause with Colors and Endemol and so he only informed me two days before going into the house. However, that's not done. Right now I'm waiting till 30 October to get a response. If I don't get a response then we'll have to decide on our future course of action," replied Adhikari.

When contacted, Raju Srivastava's manager Piyush Upadhyay claimed to have no idea about this matter.

Colors crosses the 300-GRP mark again with help of Bigg Boss 3

Colors crosses the 300-GRP mark again with help of Bigg Boss 3

Not that the weekly overall channel GRPs make any difference to the media planners and buyers, and the advertisers, but for any channel to cross the 300-GRP mark has become tougher with every passing day. In week 37, Colors had managed to garner 325 GRPs, the opening numbers of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi – Fear Factor 2’ helping the channel in that.

The numbers tapered the next week enough to make Colors the No. 2 channel in week 38, however, the channel was back in the No. 1 slot the following weeks. Last week, the No. 2 slot was taken by Zee TV, while STAR Plus was the No. 3 player. The big boys’ league of Hindi GEC – Colors, STAR Plus and Zee TV – is evidently continuing with its see-saw.

Now in week 41, courtesy ‘Bigg Boss 3’, and some of the other shows like ‘Na Aana is Des Lado’ and ‘Uttaran’, Colors has garnered a weekly overall channel GRP of 338. Even though STAR Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is the No. 1 show in the week, six of the top 10 slots belong to Colors. In comparison, in week 41, STAR Plus is at 257 GRPs, while Zee TV is at 247 GRPs.

A bigger Bigg Boss, but not a bigger delivery from Big B

‘Bigg Boss 3’ has held the attention of many because Colors was clear that the channel wouldn’t just continue with the show as it had in its first year, but push the envelope further. The result was roping in Amitabh Bachchan as the pop philosopher in the show.

‘Bigg Boss’ season 1, when Colors was just a few weeks old, opened with 2.5 TRPs. This season, the show has opened with 4.6 TRPs. While the ratings come from a time frame of 149 minutes, it is the same as the opening numbers of ‘Sach ka Saamna’ on STAR Plus. Colors’ own ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 2’ opened with 4.4 TRPs, and another launch this year that crossed the 4-TRP mark was ‘Rakhi ka Swayamvar’ with 4.1 TRP.

The last major show that had featured Amitabh Bachchan for ‘KBC 2’ in 2005, and the opening numbers of the show was 20 TRPs, which was a staggeringly high opening number even for that period.

The expectation from ‘Bigg Boss 3’ is that the numbers will continue to be on the higher side, especially for the episodes that would see Big B’s presence, but there is still some time before one sees how ‘Bigg Boss 3’ numbers pan out this season.

Kamal Khan survives the Axe, as No Eviction from Bigg Boss House Today

Kamal Khan survives the Axe, as No Eviction from Bigg Boss House Today

As expected earlier, Bigg Boss did not evict anyone from the House today to mark the festival of Diwali. Kamal Khan and Sherlyn Chopra survived the eviction, thanks to Bigg Boss, who wanted them in the show for some more time. Interestingly, Kamal Rashid Khan was today adjudged as the most "hatred" figure in Bigg Boss house, as all inmates wanted to see him out of the show.

Earlier, Bollywood Actor and Action Star Akshay Khan made a quite entry into Bigg Boss house. However, only the female inmates of the house got a chance to meet him. Akshay and other female contestants danced to the tune of his new movie, 'Blue'. Akshay selected Poonam Dhillon as the best dancer in the end.

Bigg Boss again decided to play hide-and-seek game with the inmates, by announcing that they will have the authority to decide who will be out of the house this week. When the inmates were given the option to choose between Kamal R Khan and Sherlyn Chopra, they all voted against Kamal Khan.

All of them acknowledged that Kamal is rude, arrogant, lazy and short-tempered. None of them went against Sherlyn Chopra. When Kamal was about to leave the house, Bigg Boss called him back, saying there will be no eviction this week due to Diwali Festival.

Kamal Rashid Khan has survived the axe, and it will be interesting to see what role he will be going to play inside the Bigg Boss house in the coming days

Shamita Shetty punished on Bigg Boss 3

Shamita Shetty punished on Bigg Boss 3

No we aren't talking about schools but the rules of the Bigg Boss House, and surprisingly it's not Claudia who is breaking the rules this time.

As the girls have nothing to do, Sherlyn decides to pass her time by swimming...Later she is joined in by Raju.

Today Ismail is cooking lunch for housemates, Guess what's cooking? It's not our favourite Karela. Knowing this the housemates are not too excited.

Further in the episode we'll see Vindu, Ismail and Raju bitching about all the housemates.

Bigg Boss calls Shamita in the confession room to take punishment for breaking the basic rule of the Bigg Boss house. She steps out with a giggle saying, Bigg Boss ke ghar mein English bolna mana hai and is all set to take punishment.

For the Finale task the girls would perform on the foot-tapping number Chiggy Wiggy from Blue. The girls look stunning and deliver a fantabulous performance.

Housemates are later chilling in the dining area. They decide to play a game called Happy & Sad Moments.

Later Bigg Boss announces that the weekly task given to the housemates has ended

Kamal doing Bigg Boss for the money

Kamal doing Bigg Boss for the money

Kamal Rashid Khan of Deshdrohi fame has survived a nomination of Bigg Boss 3. He created a stir by going on fast till German model Claudia Ciesla said ‘I love you’ to him! Not only is Kamal ensuring TRPs for the show, he is fast getting very popular. Before he entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, he told us that he wasn’t the kind who planned anything, “I know that whoever be the participants on the show, I am the biggest star of them all. So I am going to win,” he said.

For Kamal, the show is very important. “Bigg Boss is the mother of all reality shows. I like to be in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house because the life I’m living right now best suits it. My house is like my best friend. I can’t love anywhere except for the ‘Bigg Boss’ house,” he said.

Despite being a rich man, Kamal is honest enough to say that he is doing Bigg Boss only for the money. “Yes I chose it for money,” he said and for “Bachchan saab’s presence on the show, the high viewership and for the comfortable house it is.”

Bigg Boss 3 Housemates dance to Chiggy Wiggy

Bigg Boss 3 Housemates dance to Chiggy Wiggy

In October 13's episode, Ismaile and Vindu wake up early and spend some time together.... Later Kamal and Raju bitch about the girls.

Further we see how food is the biggest issue in the Bigg Boss House. Ismail feels that he is not being provided the food he wants, while Poonam gets fruits when she fasts....

Later, Kamal is again bitching about Sherlyn.

Tanaaz jokes with Kamal, and Bakhtiyaar blows his top.... Later Poonam, Shamita and Aditi convince Bakhtiyaar to console Tanaaz.

Bigg Boss announces the daily task, where the men have to choreograph a sequence on the song Chiggy Wiggy, from the movie Blue. The girls will have to watch them rehearse and perform the final dance....

The housemates start rehearsing the song. Who wants to be the centre of attraction in the song? Will the housemates be successful in the task?

Bakhtiyar is under lots of pressure feels Delnaaz Paul

Bakhtiyar is under lots of pressure feels Delnaaz Paul

Delnaaz Paul, defends her younger brother Bakhtiyar Irani who off late has been fighting a lot with his wife Tanaz in the Bigg Boss house

The recent spat in Bigg Boss between Tanaz and Bakhtiyar Irani is not worrying Bakhtiyar's sister, Delnaaz Paul too much.

The well known comic artist says, "You got to understand that Bakhtiyar is under lots of pressure. He not only has to secure himself but also his wife as well. If he does not speak up for her, he is called a wimp and if he does, it spoils his equations with others in the house. In this situation, if Tanaz needled Kamal Khan just for laughs, no wonder he lost it. But then they made up in the next day's episode, right!"

Delnaaz goes on. "Much of the differences happen because Bigg Boss house is full of people of different classes and attitudes. This is unlike most other reality shows where we only have TV guys, but here we have people like Kamal. The fact that he flirts with Claudia Ciesla and eats cake after claiming to be on hunger strike, speaks a lot about where he comes from! Most of the other inmates are also not the ones we interact on a regular basis, for example, Vindoo. I only know his father Dara Singh ( Kal Ho Na Ho)".

Delnaaz also accepted that Tanaz complicated matters when she used the now famous 'Disappear Disappear' phrase against Kamal. "My brother's main worry is that nobody will come to her rescue and that's what is happening", she states.

She further added, "For most of the time Bakhtiyar has held his temper. We all know how hot headed he is. I just hope that he uses this opportunity to help create a new image. He helps a lot in the house, and I hope the public appreciates that. But it looks like the channel will focus more on his anger, as he was brought in for that drama".

But the actress is confident that such minor issues will not affect Bakhtiyar-Tanaz relationship. "I am sure they will have many more fights, but they will resolve it all when they come out, as they are mature people and realize that they have a one and a half year son waiting for them at home".

Vindu locks up Kamal and Bakhtiyaar in Wednesday's episode of Bigg Boss 3

Vindu locks up Kamal and Bakhtiyaar in Wednesday's episode of Bigg Boss 3

While the day begins normally where we see the housemates doing the task of rehearsing to the song Chiggy Wiggy, it's time for the daily task.

Bigg Boss calls Aditi and gives her the task to play the role of a reporter...where she will have to give a report to all housemates if they have slipped up during the task.

On the other hand Kamal, Vindu and Bakhtiyaar are called to the confession room. Well, it turns out Bigg Boss is furious at Kamal and Bakhtiyaar for not following the rule of wearing their microphone in spite of constant warnings.

And so, remember the jail! The room that didn't exist earlier but is a new introduction to the house this year. Yes, for the frist time since the housemates arrived, just when they were getting comfortable, Bigg Boss summons Vindu to lock up Kamal and Bakhtiyaar in the jail. Now that sure spices up things.

Wife Tanaaz gets very emotional for husband Bakhtiyaar, whereas Rohit is petrified...this penalty brings all the housemates back to reality and they realise that it's not going to be as easy living in the house as they thought

What really goes on in Bigg Boss house?

What really goes on in Bigg Boss house ?

Did you know that it takes roughly three months to set up Bigg Boss house?

Well, that's how long it took to prepare the place where celebrity contestants will spend roughly three months locked out from the outside world. The host of this season's show -- Amitabh Bachchan -- will be their only link to the outside world.

So is the place big enough to host 13 celebrities?

Arjun Menon, creative editor of Bigg Boss and Endemol India, said, "The size of the house this season is almost half compared to last two seasons -- only 4,000 sq feet.

"The reason for it is to generate better content so that no one is out of focus. My colleague Tabassum and I come 15 days prior to the actual filming of Bigg Boss. We work on setting up the control room, electric connections and cameras," he said

First Week Review For Bigg Boss 3

First Week Review For Bigg Boss 3

A review of the opening week that's gone by in the Bigg Boss house...

The season three of Bigg Boss started with a bang, alright, with Amitabh Bachchan welcoming each of the 13 guests with his characteristic panache and with each of them either falling at his feet or recalling their favorite Bachchan anecdote, it was an enjoyable episode.

It's been a week now and the housemates have begun showing their true colours (read Raju Shrivastav's unabashed mimicking of Jaya Sawant who was eliminated after the very first week or the women bitching about Sherlyn Chopra or Kamaal Khan proving to be an embarrassment for the German model Claudia).

Do we like the show? Yes, because this time it's quite a bunch of housemates – on one hand prim and propah ladies (Poonam Dhillon, Aditi Gowitirikar, Shamita Shetty and Tanaaz Currim) and on the other the very loud and should we say uncouth Vindoo and Kamaal, not to forget the effeminate designer Rohit Verma who when not preening before the camera with an agarbatti in his hand, is teaching Claudia and Sherlyn dance moves, and Ismail Darbar who could prove to be dangerous in the following weeks. He's sly, he's keeping his moves close to his chest and he has quite a roving eye (remember the very first day when he was ogling at Poonam).

The thing we don't like about Bigg Boss is that the channel didn't manage to get any decent men on the show for their women viewers. None of them are eye candy, if at all they are fit to give you an ugly bout of sore eyes.

We, of course, like Bachchan who lends a certain dignity to the proceedings as he gently talks to each of them, often pulling their legs (we particularly enjoyed the way he mimicked Tanaaz and her way of saying 'Disappear', simply meaning 'Get lost' to the pesky Kamaal) and at the same time sharing with them some bitter-sweet truths of
life.

We don't like the idea of viewers calling in with a question for any of the housemates…come on, it's a fun show, let's not make it an interactive studio discussion. Some things are better left unexplained. As it is, B is trying to "decode" the participants' behavior, it's better some is at least left out for the viewer to just get entertained by…We mean how the hell do we care why Kamaal went on a hunger fast just to hear Claudia say 'I love you'! Leave it…

Last but not the least, a word or two on each of the housemates…

Poonam Dhillon: Matron-like, she seems to be going through menopause

Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar Irani: We want to beat them up for living their little baby outside to be part of this circus. While Tanaaz is going to prove to be a tikhi mirchi, it's fun to see her behave like Bakhtiyar's mum, worse, the latter even listens to her with a hangdog expression.

Ismail Darbar: He just might win it…

Vindoo: This over-sized son of Dara Singh might just prove to be an embarrassment for his father.

Kamaal Khan: Ugh

Claudia: She is blonde but she is smart

Sherlyn Chopra: Ugh, ugh

Shamita Shetty: She went in saying she won't cry and the next day itself she was seen sniffing into her hankie. Sweetie, try harder.

Aditi Gowitrikar: Unassuming

Rohit Verma: Don't know what to make of him, given his myriad, exaggerated expressions

Raju Shrivastava: Joker of the pack, alright but could prove to be a chhupa rustom

Verdict: Just when we think the composition of Bigg Boss won't get any worse, the channel throws at us an unlikely bunch and this time there could be more fireworks than expected. After all they won't let down their predecessors (read Rakhi Sawant, Sambhavana Seth, Rahul Mahajan, Ravi Kissen and Raja Chaudhary).

Akshay kumar in Bigg Boss 3

Akshay kumar in Bigg Boss 3

Akshay 'action' Kumar is all set to be seen on reality show Bigg Boss this week. Akki will spend half-a-day with the inmates as part of promotion for his upcoming Akshay Kumarfilm Blue.

The Khatron ka Khiladi was part of the show last season to co-host the event along with Shilpa Shetty and announce the winner but hadn't gone inside the house. This time, however, Akki is expected to meet the participants and interact with them.

"Akshay is looking forward to especially meeting Vindoo as they are friends." On Friday, the actor will arrive on a chopper, provided by the Blue producers Shree Ashtavinayak and drop into the house from the sky," a source close to the actor was quoted by a daily as saying.

He will spend a couple of hours with the inmates and talk to them about the stunts he has performed in Blue. He will also have lunch with the contestants. When he emerges out, he will have a brief chat with the host and talk about his experience of being locked up and under surveillance," the source added.

What caused feud between Rakhi and Jaya?

What caused feud between Rakhi and Jaya?

The reality show Bigg Boss 3 has once again brought controversy queen, Rakhi Sawant into limelight, but for this time Rakhi is not alone, she is in frame with her mother Jaya Sawant who the first contestant to go out of BB3.

Even if in reality, this mother-daughter would not speak to each other , but they will be definitely together on screen at least to degrade each other. “Jaya and Rakhi are not speaking to each other for almost a year and Jaya completely blames Abhishek Awasthi (ex-flame of Rakhi) for her sour relationship with the daughter. In an TV interview she blamed him for creating grudges in my family,” chirps the little birdie.

“Rakhi on other side is blaming her mom for creating bitterness between her's and Abhishek relation. She doesn't want to bond with her mother. Rakhi is fed up with her family members and says that she is no more going to earn money for them and wants to live alone and happy for life time,” source added.

So now, the mystery is that who exactly is the culprit?. Is that Abhisehekh, Jaya or Rakhi herself for the separations? Only Rakhi could answer this but she was not available for any comments.

The Curious Case of Jaya Sawant

The Curious Case of Jaya Sawant

Chandrima Pal discusses why Rakhi Sawant's mom was evicted from the house of horrors.

Jaya SawantMost of us had not heard of Jaya Sawant when she walked up to Amitabh Bachchan last week, on the sets of Bigg Boss 3.

Visibly uncomfortable in her garish saree and freshly-permed hair, nervous and overwhelmed, Sawant introduced herself to the nation as 'Rakhi Sawant's heartbroken mother'. And in a tiny voice declared that she was there 'to earn the love and respect of strangers since her daughter had abandoned her'.

Not surprisingly, Sawant was among the first ones to be nominated for eviction by her housemates. And the first one to be voted out of the house by the mobile-wielding populace of the country. Obviously not quite the love and respect she wished to earn.

Agreed, Sawant failed to entertain or engage the audience in a no-holds barred game of pretences. But were we willing to give her a second chance as Bachchan hinted? Or does her ouster raise a few uncomfortable questions about acceptance in our so-called inclusive society?

Sawant is guilty of several crimes. She is guilty of having almost no social skills. From the day she stepped into the house, you could see she was petrified, unsure and unable to express herself in a houseful of people good with air-kissing and doublespeak.

This erstwhile nurse, who struggled to keep her family afloat, was a fish out of water amongst the starlets, celebrities and self-styled social butterflies. Worse, she was old. Way older than the other senior lady, who still manages to win compliments from her male housemates.

Predictably, the housemates nominated Sawant as she "cannot speak well," "has a communication problem," "cannot speak English", "is unable to adjust with this youthful bubbly environment". In a gang of television actors, fashion designers, film stars and glamour girls, Sawant in her tacky dresses, thick vernacular accent and rustic airs stood out like a sore thumb.

The housemates were simply echoing the sentiments of the television-watching janta as Sawant's ouster showed us.

The show producers perhaps wanted a stereotype from old Hindi films -- the country bumpkin who fails to match steps with her flashy city cousins is the butt of ridicule and source of bawdy humour. Jaya Sawant unknowingly delivered the goods. The men and women constantly ribbed her, ragged her, humiliated her and Sawant's shocking naivete did not even allow her to see it.

When asked why she thought she was being nominated, Sawant answered, 'Because I am a nobody.' Ironically, reality shows are supposed to be great social levellers. They turn nobodies into overnight sensations. Last season's Hindi-speaking aam aadmi Ashutosh Kaushik [ Images ] and Raja Chaudhary are just some of the examples. But then Sawant also does not have age or beauty on her side. She failed to charm a media-savvy, upwardly mobile, youth and beauty-obsessed society into voting for her.

Why did Jaya Sawant come to the house of horrors? Like so many reality show aspirants she perhaps believed it would be her ticket to immortality, the way it catapulted her daughter to stardom. In fact even Raju Srivastav [ Images ] made a snide remark about how the Sawants were out to make a career out of Bigg Boss. Maybe she actually believed that the show would help her reach out to her daughter, with whom she has not been on talking terms. And she obviously believed Rakhi's Swayamvar was for real and she actually stood a chance of winning Bigg Boss and the prize money.

The reality show audience, which has always championed the underdog, seems to have changed its mind this time. Look at what Sawant was up against -- Sherlyn Chopra [ Images ] whose saucy pictures are all over the Internet, and an audacious trader-turned-industrywallah Kamal Khan who tells Bachchan, 'KRK is too big a star to be evicted in a week's time.'

And no matter how hard Sawant tried to sing and dance and make friends with the enigmatic and conniving housemates, the audiences simply had no patience with this 'auntyji'. Even Vindu Dara Singh, who shed copious tears for her, called her 'mental' as soon as she left the house.

And as she sits with Bachchan looking at video clips of her 'foster family' scheming to throw her out, Jaya Sawant may be thankful to be back where she 'belongs.'

I will teach `Bigg Boss` inmates a lesson: Rakhi Sawant

I will teach `Bigg Boss` inmates a lesson: Rakhi Sawant

The original drama queen, who knows all the antics to send the TRPs zooming, who never ceases to shock and surprise the audience by her statements, relationships and clothes, Rakhi Sawant has become mistress of reality TV.

In an exclusive interview with Smita Mishra of Spicezee.com, she spoke about her love affair with TV shows, her bitter sweet relation with her mother and her future with Elesh.

Q. What was your reaction when you saw your mother on TV as a Bigg Boss inmate?

Rakhi: Shocked! I was literally taken a back. I didn’t know that she was going to appear in a reality show! My mother is such a simple woman. I never expected this from her. Good for her!

Q. What do you think may have been the reason for inviting her in the show?

Rakhi: Of course because she is my mother! I took so many years to arrive at this place and she had to do practically nothing! She has become a celeb because of me.

Q. But on the show she complained of not getting any support from her own….

Rakhi: Those were not her words. It was a pure publicity stunt by the channel. My mother did not say such a thing. The words were put into her mouth.

Q. Are you angry with the Big Boss members?

Rakhi: First of all I would like to say that I hate all the inmates of Bigg Boss. What do they think of themselves? They are like dirty drain worms! They keep speaking in English when they are aware that my mother knows only Hindi. They do not know how to treat elderly people. They are insecure people and that is why they have nominated my mother for vote out.

I will teach each of them a lesson.

Q. What have you to say on the notice sent to ‘Pati Patni or Woh’ for violating child rights?

Rakhi: Nobody can touch me and no one has the power to call off the show. It is not a crime. There are so many channels that are showing children in various roles. We have put so much of our effort in it. If any one tries to pull it off air, I will sit on bhookh hartal(fast).

Q. How challenging is handling an infant?

Rakhi: No one can become a mother by just applying make up. You have to work very hard for it. It is more difficult if you are parenting someone else’s child. Elesh and I had to really slog looking after the child. I could neither eat nor sleep due to the baby. But by the end of the show we developed a bond of sorts, and of course the baby’s mother helped me as well.

Q. What is the status of your relationship with Elesh?

Rakhi: It is not very rosy. We are incompatible. You will come to know everything at the end of the show. Please don’t ask me this question right now.

Q. Aren’t you tired of reality TV shows?

Rakhi: Not at all! Why should I be tired when the audience is enjoying it? I will keep appearing in the reality shows till the people want me to.

Q. What is going to keep you busy after this?

Rakhi: I don’t have much to do right now. I will be appearing on small screen till some big offer comes my way.

I planned to stay for 3 months at Bigg Boss House' – Jaya Sawant

I planned to stay for 3 months at Bigg Boss House – Jaya Sawant

Jaya Sawant in a tete-e-tete with Telly Buzz after being the first chosen person to get out of the Bigg Boss house.

We all know Rakhi Sawant as the mother of nautanki. Now we have the mother of Rakhi Sawant, Mrs. Jaya Sawant talking to Telly Buzz after being eliminated from the Bigg Boss house in the very first week...

Over to the lady...

Tell us about your experience in the Bigg Boss house.
It was all good. All the children in the house gave me lot of respect. They supported me a lot. I got all the love from them till I came out of the house. All of them are very good children.

When you entered many of them talked behind your back. Kamal Khan was against you. What do you think was the reason for it?
I have no idea what was the reason and Mein kya janu kaun Kamal Khan hai? When I met him I was shocked it's the same guy who played the role of hero at the age of 50. He is suitable for the role of a father.

We got to know from Rakhi that you have a serious health problem. So how was it taken care of in the house?
They took lot of care in the house. Everyday doctor used to come to test me and he gave medicines.

Rakhi Sawant and you had some problem. Are you happy that after coming out of Bigg Boss you will be together?
Yes I am so happy and I am thanking Jesus for this.

Who do you think will win Bigg Boss 3?
Chances of winning Bigg Boss is high for two people. One is Shamita Shetty because she must have got some tips from her sister Shilpa Shetty and second is Raju Srivastav.

What were you thinking when you entered the house?
I entered with the intention of staying there for three months. When we entered the house on Saturday night we had our food and we all slept and when we got up in the morning. I was thinking how will I start the conversation with them. I planned that I will see their reaction and how they are talking and then I will also behave in the same manner but later on Bigg Boss called everyone for the nomination and my name was out.

Whose behavior did you not like in the house?
Tanaaz and other three females in the house. I don't know their names. They cracked jokes about me. They mocked the way I requested for votes. They said I did it like a Vegetable Vendor. They said - bhajii bhajii bhajii aisa vote maang rahi hai… I felt too bad. I cried a lot in the bathroom after that.

How is the house of Bigg Boss?
It's fantastic.

Amitabh Bachchan's Birthday is approaching, so what wishes you want to give him?
May he live long. I am praying for his success and that soon he becomes a grandfather(again).

Who were you very close to?
Vindu because he looks like my son Rakesh. He used to kiss me and hug me all the time. Same as Vindu. I got so much love from him. I am requesting the audience to vote for him. Vindu is very good he has a short temper but please don't misunderstand him and vote for him.

What was the thing that you missed most in the house?
My whole family… I missed them a lot.

So what's your future plan after Bigg Boss?
Any project that will come my way.

Girls misbehaved with me in Bigg Boss : Rakhi's mother

Girls misbehaved with me in Bigg Boss : Rakhi's mother

Item girl Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya has been badmouthing her female co-participants in Bigg Boss ever since she was evicted from the popular reality TV show.

"The girls didn't behave well with me at all. They used to talk in English in front of me despite knowing that I don't understand the language and then used to make fun of me and laugh at me, I didn't like it at all," Jaya, who was the first to make an exit from the third season of Bigg Boss Friday, told IANS over telephone from Mumbai.

She was quick to point out two incidents when the women, especially Shamita Shetty, Tanaaz Currim, Poonam Dhillon and Aditi Govitrikar sniggered at her and disrespected her on the show, where she was locked up with 12 celebrity participants.

"Once I had to ask the audience to vote for me. So Vindu (Vindu Dara Singh) told me I should sit in front of the camera and ask for votes in Marathi. And when I did so, these girls just started laughing. Later, they said that it seemed like I was chanting - Bhaaji lelo, bhaaji lelo (Buy vegetables). That time I started crying," Jaya said.

Jaya, who worked as a nurse earlier, says she specifically faced a problem with actress Tanaaz Currim.

"On one of the days when we were all having food, Tanaaz asked everyone if anyone wanted a chapati. I said 'I want two'. She gave me one and then when I went and asked her for another one, she shouted at me and asked me to go and sit at the dining table. She then gave the chapati to her husband (Bakhtiyaar Irani). I felt very hurt," she mainained.

However, Jaya said the males in the Bigg Boss house were extremely sensitive to her needs and addressed her as "Mummy".

"Rohit (Verma) always helped me and spoke to me like a son and so did Vindu. They took care of all my needs. But the girls were too much," she said and added that the women didn't even leave warm water for her to take a bath.

She is also upset that she couldn't completely achieve her aim behind participating in the show - convincing her daughter Rakhi to reconcile with her.

"I came on the show for Rakhi - so that she forgets all differences and comes back to me. I don't even know why she stopped talking to me. But I will keep trying as long as I can. Rest, I can only wish the best for my daughter.

"I hope Jesus blesses her with whatever she needs in life," she added.

Jaya was the only non-celebrity contestant on the show, where she didn't fail to hold back her melodramatic ways. She shed tears, danced and sang, much to the amusement of the other house members.

Bigg Boss 3: Kamal R Khan claims he is in "love" with Claudia Ciesla

Kamal R Khan claims he is in "love" with Claudia Ciesla

The high drama began in Bigg Boss house, as actor-writer-director Kamal Rashid Khan claimed that he is in love with another housemate Claudia Ciesla. The German model is not impressed with Kamal Khan's overture. But Kamal has taken up a fast, saying he won't take any food until Claudia says "I Love You" to him.

While Raju Srivastav and Ismail Darbar are enjoying the drama, Bakhtiyar advised Kamal Khan to be more sensible and not to create any problem for Claudia and himself. But Kamal Khan is adamant about his "love". Claudia is very angry and he accused Kamal Khan of doing this for cheap publicity and to draw attention from the public.

Sherlyn Chopra has taken strong exception to the latest development and tried to persuade Claudia to lodge a protest with Bigg Boss, if any contestant is causing inconvenience to her. The drama is getting more exciting with both Kamal Khan and Claudia Ciesla taking different stands and not talking to each other.

Rakhi's mom gets eliminated from Big Boss

Rakhi's mom gets eliminated from Big Boss

Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya tonight became the first casualty of the 'Big Boss' house as she was eliminated from the reality show.

Jaya, who entered the Big Boss house last Saturday along with 12 others, received nine nominations for elimination.

She entered the house saying she was not invited to her daughter's 'swayamvar' on television and was hoping some public sympathy.

Jaya, however, has another chance to return to the house through a wild card.

Rakhi, who is currently on another reality show 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', claimed her mother was being used by the Big Boss producer to speak against her.

Don’t laugh at my mom, Rakhi tells ‘Bigg Boss’ inmates

Don’t laugh at my mom, Rakhi tells ‘Bigg Boss’ inmates

Reality show veteran Rakhi Sawant is not at all pleased with the way her mother Jaya is being treated on the third instalment of “Bigg Boss”.

“My mother doesn’t belong to the film industry or showbiz. She hasn’t even seen much of the world and so people in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house are taking advantage of her. Mujhe bilkul achha nahin lag raha hai (I’m not liking it at all), Rakhi, who participated in the first season of “Bigg Boss”, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

“If I get even one chance to go in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, main sabki dhajiyaan uda doongi (I will rip people apart), she added.

Jaya, who worked as a nurse to bring up her children, surprised viewers when she was ushered into Colors’ Bigg Boss house Sunday night by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the host of the show.

She is staying with 12 other participants with more than 30 cameras watching every move they make.

So far, she has been fairing well, except for being sniggered at for her dressing sense and her attempts at singing and dancing by fashion designer Rohit Verma, actor Bhaktiyaar Irani and comedian Raju Srivastav.

“My mother is a very simple woman. When Mr. Bachchan invited her on stage, she wouldn’t have known what to do. She had never gone on a stage before. So all contestants should respect her for what she is.

“She likes to sing and dance a lot because before marriage she wanted to become an actress. But she couldn’t pursue her dreams because it was a taboo in our family. People should not laugh at her, said Rakhi.

Relations between mother and daughter have strained for quite some time. Rakhi was so upset with her mom that she didn’t even invite her to the finale of her recent “Swayamvar” show on NDTV Imagine.

Jaya has said she has come to Bigg Boss house to show her love for Rakhi and wants her to come back home.

Shamita Shetty among inmates

Shamita Shetty among inmates

Shilpa Shetty found international fame with the UK based show Big Brother, and now her younger sister Shamita Shetty has stepped into the world of reality television with Big Boss 3.

It's the time for sister Shamita as she is taking part in Bigg Boss seaon 3. This is a new Shamita Shetty, strongly focussed and determined to carve her own destiny following her sister foot-steps.

Audiences have started comparing Shamita Shetty with her elder sister who worked in celebrity show Big Brother, in UK.

However, Shamita simply finds the comparison totally unfair. Shilpa and I are totally two different persons. Shilpa has nothing to do with her inclusion in the Big Boss season 3

I am happy that Shilpa is no more hosting the show every time there use to be some controversy, which irritated her a lot, adds Shamita.

Exactly Shamita we can well undertand the tale of two sisters.

Women dominate in 'Bigg Boss 3'

Women dominate in 'Bigg Boss 3'

Its women-power all the way in the third season of 'Bigg Boss' with stars like Shamita Shetty and Sherlyn Chopra outshining the lesser known male housemates.

The reality show is going to be high on glamour with women outnumbering their male counterparts.

Apart from Shamita and Chopra, the other women contestants include yesteryear's Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon, doctor-turned-model Aditi Govitrikar and most surprisingly, 'drama queen' Rakhi Sawant's equally dramatic mother Jaya Sawant.

On the other hand, the male bastion includes names such as Dara Singh's son Vindu, fashion designer Rohit Verma, comedian Raju Srivastav and director-actor Kamal R Khan of 'Desh Drohi' fame.

The only major name in the male team is that of music composer Ismail Darbar, who has films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' to his credit.

Which Bollywood actress can make a Sexy bai

Which Bollywood actress can make a Sexy bai

Bigg Boss Season 3 has begun with promise of a lot of fun and entertainment. The crazy combination of celeb inmates this time has viewers expecting a lot from the reality show.

On the first day, host Amitabh Bachchan introduced the inmates who will be staying at the Bigg Boss house for 84 days sans any communication with the outside world. The oomphalicious Sherlyn Chopra is one of the contestants on the show. When Big B asked the siren about what role she will take up in the house, she instantly replied, “I will be a sexy bai.” The roommates have to do their own chores inside the Bigg Boss house and Sherlyn agreed to be a bai (maid) while adding her sensuous touch making it a ‘sexy bai’.

Sexy Bai! Well we are sure Sherlyn will be her sexy self on the show. We now want to know from our surfers who do they think will make a sexy bai from Bollywood? So get thinking and tell us which actress do you think can make a sexy bai...

Shilpa Shetty admires Big B

Shilpa Shetty admires Big B

Actress Shilpa Shetty doesn’t wanna miss a single episode of Big Boss-3. Not merely because of her Bahan’s presence, but for the charismatic appeal of Amitabh Bacchan.

Big B has taken over the hat of hosting Big Boss from Shilpa Shetty, who had handled the task in the previous episode of this popular show. The actress cannot stop singing appraisals of Amitabh Bacchan as she says, “I missed Amitji a lot and much elated with his come back in small screens. He’s really doing a wonderful job and his unique style is unbeatable…”

Things have been getting more intact for the actress from the day, Season 3 has been launched. She doesn’t want to miss any segments as her younger sister Shamitha Shetty has been locked inside the Big Boss House for next 84 days with 12 strangers.

Magic formula: Bigg Boss inside, Big B outside

Magic formula: Bigg Boss inside, Big B outside

When almost every contestant on Bigg Boss season 3 confessed on stage that Amitabh Bachchan — the host and pop philosopher on the show—was their chief reason to participate, we didn’t doubt it one bit because it’s precisely our reason to watch the show as well.

After the second season’s tedious routine of watching Shilpa Shetty’s manicured hands flick her blown-dry hair back every two scenes, to have Big B replace the self-appointed diva sounds like the best strategy Colors could have adopted to bring back eyeballs to the show that was beginning to lose them.

Expectedly, Bachchan saved the day. His magic was unleashed on viewers as well as tongue-tied participants. He speaks chaste Hindi, quotes from his father’s verse, recounts anecdotes from interactions he has had with the participants if any, and chats convivially with their families. Bachchan is no pop philosopher. He is the guardian angel.

However, one does fear some monotony in this performance as the respectable distance that Bachchan seems keen to maintain from the participants may limit his scope as the guide. He had already begun to repeatedly refer to the show as Bigg Boss Tritiya, which gets a bit tedious to the casual ear.

The final 13 contestants were introduced in the marathon of an episode, and include reality TV regular music director Ismail Darbar, actor-director Kamal R Khan who made himself popular through his “patriotic” Deshdrohi, the always-in-bikini actress Sherlyn Chopra whose last outing was Dil Bole Hadippa!, 1980s’ actress Poonam Dhillon, popular reality TV couple Tanaz and Bakhtiyar Irani, wrestler-actor Dara Singh’s son Vindu Dara Singh, ex-model Aditi Gowitrikar, German actress Claudia Ciesla who’s trying her luck in Bollywood, actress Shamita Shetty, a cross-dressing designer Rohit Verma, and Jaya Sawant, the mother of the reigning reality TV queen Rakhi Sawant.

There are a few surprises: this is the first time they have allowed a married couple into the Bigg Boss house, and there’s jail for punishing errant housemates.

Never mind that it was only the first episode, some participants wasted no time to slip into their “character”. Sawant, as if in an attempt to match up to her dramatic daughter’s reputation, had already begun to complain how she was not invited by the channel for her Big Day. Darbar’s brooding was reminiscent of last season’s participant Sanjay Nirupam; we now await a firecracker quarrel between one of the girls and him. Verma seemed eager to establish connection with both men and women as he asked them if he should use the men’s washroom or the ladies’.

The current season looks promising if voyeurism is what you are looking for. But the USP of the show is to watch holier-than-thou Bachchan sit on the periphery and deal with the murky world of Bigg Boss participants. With Bigg Boss inside and Big B outside, Colors seems to have stumbled upon the magic formula.

Big Boss 3 gets a boost from Big B's presence

Big Boss 3 gets a boost from Big B's presence

Reality television show Big Boss 3 has indeed got bigger this year. Thanks to the presence of pop philosopher - Amitabh Bachchan. So how well has the Big B transformed from quiz master to reality show host?

As Big B says it's time for Bigg Boss Tritiya, the superstar who quizzed his way into Indian television with Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2000, returns as ‘pop philosopher' for the third season of Bigg Boss making the reality show bigger and better just by his mere presence.

Bachchan's references to his father's poetry gave the show a new dimension all together and he seemed to equally enjoy playing the part of a host, welcoming the participants on board, flirting lightly and making them comfortable.

And of course every Bigg Boss contestant had their own Amitabh Bachchan memory to share with him.

Big B's new small screen avatar, reportedly for a fee of Rs 10 crore might just make all the difference to the show's third outing

Shamita cries on Bigg Boss!

Shamita cries on Bigg Boss!

When the Bollywood actress entered the Bigg Boss’ house, she complained to Amitabh Bachchan that sister Shilpa, who went on to win Big Brother, hadn’t given her any survival tips. Looks like that’s costing Shamita a lot. We heard that the actress broke down in the confession room, as she’s finding it difficult to adjust with the other inmates. Also, Tanaaz Irani had a fight with Kamal R Khan about doing the household chores. And though Tanaaz has hubby Bakhtyaar to support her in everything, Shamita was deeply disturbed by the fight in the house. We hope the Bollywood babe manages to survive and has a happy ending to her stint in the show.

The show was launched with a big bang on Sunday when Bachchan welcomed everyone in the house. While the contestants are yet to get their final co-inmate, it seems that the tears and drama has already begun. To know more, watch Bigg Boss on Colors.

Tanaaz don't mess with mom: Rakhi

Tanaaz don't mess with mom: Rakhi

Rakhi Sawant is appalled and angry by the way her mother is being treated on Bigg Boss

She wants revenge. “How dare the Channel use my mother as a pawn? Last year, it was Rakhi Sawant . So this year, it’s her mother? I could take on the whole house. Let them send me into the house once. I’ll show all these English-speaking snobs what a daughter can do when her mother is insulted. No one can fool around with me. But my mother is a simple housewife. That poor woman is being completely isolated by the other contestants.”

And Rakhi, though not on talking terms with her mom, won’t take any slight to her lying down. “How can they isolate her because she can’t speak English? We come from the chawls. My grandfather never sent my mother to school. She is a poor, uneducated housewife. I wonder how she put those two signatures on the Bigg Boss deal because she can barely sign her name.”

Rakhi is specially upset with Tanaaz Currim. “Tanaaz is behaving extra-smart. When the housemates did the Mummy-Daddy act, Tanaaz completely ignored my mother. And do you know, when I meet Tanaaz's mother I’m very polite and respectful?”

Rakhi blames the channel for using her mother as bait. “They thought Rakhi is comig on Pati Patni Aur Woh, so let’s put her mother on another show. I had no idea my mother was invited to Bigg Boss. Whatever our personal differences I don’t want my mother to be put in a compromising position,” says Rakhi and accuses the other housemates for discriminating against her mother.

“There’s definitely bhed-bhav against my mother. Nine contestants voted against her out on the second day. I’m frantically calling up all my friends and fans to vote for my mother,” says Rakhi, who has just bought herself an office in Lokhandwala.
“It’s in the Kamdhenu complex. I’m very proud of it. From there I’ll start my production house. Whatever money I’ll make on the reality shows I’ll use to produce my serial on the Bible. As it is I’ve realized movies don’t pay. I got only a token amount from Yashraj Films for Dil Bole Hadippa. And on top of that, my role and my dances were cut drastically. So why should I not do television where I’m the queen?”

Bigg Boss 3: Jaya Sawant enters men's room!

Bigg Boss 3: Jaya Sawant enters men's room!

All housemates wake up with a cuckoo alarm. Ismaile and Aditi start laughing because they find the alarm funny. On the other hand Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar cuddle up…. Further in the episode we see two housemates arguing about the morning breakfast.

Raju is busy shaving when he realises there's some lady in the boys' rest room.... He keeps wondering who it can be...then there's a scream from the rest room…. It's Jaya Sawant – telling him not to come inside!

Further in the episode, Vindoo and Kamal take charge of food. Vindoo encourages Kamal by saying, 'We will make great food'. On the other hand, Aditi, Poonam, Rohit and Shamita are chilling on the lawn and discussing lunch.

Later we have Jaya and Raju chatting in the living area…. While conversing Jaya tells him that she is very happy with the housemates for treating her so well. Suddenly, Bakhtiyar requests Jaya to dance. He sings and she dances on the song Hoton Pe Aise Baat from the movie Jewel Thief.

After lunch, all housemates gather in the living area where Raju starts his laughter sessions…. Everyone loves his session and enjoy it.

Claudia and Rohit get exposed to the reality that is Bigg Boss 3 and have a breakdown.
